Hoping to recreate a cocktail
This is going to be an interesting topic for sure. I'm looking to recreate a cocktail that my girlfriend had told me that she had at a Foreigner concert a few months ago that was called "Cold as Ice." She told me what was in the cocktail, but wasn't sure of any specific measurements of what was in it. Since I wasn't there to taste the cocktail as she had it, I'm little help in describing it other than the fact that it was a highball cocktail. It had whipped cream vodka, triple sec, grenadine, then filled up with Diet Coke. I've attempted to recreate it/make it better by using homemade grenadine, Cointreau instead of DeKuypers, and Mexican coke. But I'm still not quite clear on ratios. Would a 2 oz vodka/1 oz triple sec combo, splash of grenadine work for a well proportioned cocktail or am I totally off on that? Thanks! http://www.reddit.com/r/cocktails/comments/3gcjsq/hoping_to_recreate_a_cocktail/
