Recipes involving Genever/Jenever?

Hi, sorry if this isn't the right subreddit...I was recently on vacation in the Netherlands and I bought a bottle of Jenever, and now I'm not sure what to do with it...any good recipes/ideas?The internet tells me it's some kind of dutch version of gin, so am I free to just substitute it for gin in any gin cocktail? http://www.reddit.com/r/cocktails/comments/3g68s0/recipes_involving_geneverjenever/
