Good Irish whiskeys for Manhattans?

Pretty much the only whiskeys here which aren't very expensive are Irish whiskeys. I know most people say rye is best for Manhattans, but what brands of Irish whiskey are good alternatives? So far I've tried Bushmills and quite enjoyed it.
