I just saw a post with a scofflaw cocktail in it, and it reminded me of this lovely pro tip that I picked up somewhere on the web - if you don't like the sickly sweet of grenadine, buy some pomegranite juice and make a simple syrup with it (equal parts pom & sugar). Delicious, easy, and it stores pretty well in the fridge.
