I haven't had the opportunity to try either of these Diplomático rums, but want to try a couple of recipes that specifically call for the Reserva Exclusiva. At the moment I can only find Reserva 8 Year locally and was curious if it would be a sufficient substitute or if the two rums are too distinct to be swapped for one another. If they are, is there any other rum that is comparable to the Reserva Exclusiva? Thanks for the help!
