White deposits in bottom of simple syrup bottles??

So I made a batch of simple syrup earlier this month, setting aside a small part for ginger simple syrup. Just tonight I felt like making a couple of drinks and I noticed that there was some white stuff on the bottom of the bottles I'd used to store them. I've never seen simple syrup go bad so fast, so I'm thinking it's not mold or anything like that. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Some details: - 1-to-1 ratio, with boiled water. - Bottled on 09-02-15 and kept refrigerated. - Both bottles cleaned with hot water and dish detergent before use. - Put in a splash of vodka in each batch to help prevent spoiling (add vodka for extra irony. first time trying this, btw.) - White stuff looked like a web formation in the regular simple syrup. Looked just like condensed deposit in the ginger s.s. - White stuff came away in plumes when bottle was shaken.I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures, but I was in a hurry to rinse them out and clean them. Again, has anyone seen anything like this in your simple syrup?
