Decisions, decisions (Question, Newbie)
Hey /r/cocktails! Newbie and lurker here. I'm 22 years old and just started taking an interest in cocktails a year or two ago. I've made a few cocktails, mostly basic ones. And that's about as far as my knowledge goes.My dad's birthday is coming up soon and he's going to have a small(ish) party of 35-40 people. I wanted to take the opportunity to buy some liquors and try my hand at "bartending" at this party.I want to set up a list of like 5-6 basic cocktails that I can shug out pretty fast for the guests. My question is, what do I need to buy (assume I have nothing) and what are typical drinks that are favoured by most people? It's so hard to google recipes because everything is just so specific with random stuff you'll need 50 different bottles for. My google-fu is weak.I guess some simple Gin, vodka, whisky and/or prosecco/champagne recipes are best?PS: I live in Norway and don't have access to very special/rare liquors.Hope this is the right place to ask. :)
